As an organisation we hold rapport and collaboration as key values, this means we want students to feel confident about working with a teacher before committing to a full term of tuition fees. This package allows for that and for sufficient time for the teacher to offer significant guidance.
Singers in Training
10 x 30 min or 45 min sessions
Choose the Singing Outcome you desire and you and your teacher will design a pathway to achieving the sound and experience you wish to create.
These sessions are …
- year by year, School Term by term, weekly sessions with a regular time assigned to the student. The same time will be held in preference to that student for the following term.
- progressive singing lessons and training. With the help of your teacher you will complete agreed upon assignments and be supported to practise regularly during the week.
- useful to work towards Trinity Rock and Pop exams and preparing for NCEA performances
8 x 45 min sessions
Auditions, Weddings, Birthdays, Shows, Gigs, any event you are preparing for we recommend at least 8 sessions prior to the occasion.
These sessions are designed to assist you to meet the needs for your special Occasions. Please provide as much specific information as possible.
Session Terms & Conditions
1. PAYMENT REGISTRATION:
1.1 Lessons: Enrolling in SingOutSessions secures a particular slot of the teachers time for the whole school term or agreed package agreed upon, irrespective of attendance. Payment is on a per term or time of booking basis and is expected to be paid in full by the date due on the invoice. (Arrangements to pay off the total fees on a session by session basis is negotiable at the discretion of the teacher.) Parents/guardians of students under 18 years are responsible for lesson attendance.
1.2 Term Length: Typically there will be between seven and eleven lessons per term, depending on School Term Dates, Public Holidays, trips, sport days, school camps and other school activities. Other agreed packages include the ‘3 session starters Pack’, 8 week Special Occasions Pack’, Fortnightly sessions are rarely offered and require a payment and commitment for 2 terms.
1.3 Tutor Books: The student/parent/guardian agrees to pay for the first tuition book with the first terms lesson fees. All subsequent tuition books to be purchased by the student/parent/guardian at the recommendation of the teacher.
1.4 Late payment: Late payment constitutes default under this agreement and the teacher may withdraw students from lessons at their discretion.
1.5 Indemnity: The student/parent/guardian agrees to indemnify SINGOUT against all costs, whether commissions, legal fees or otherwise, incurred by SINGOUT or their duly Authorised agents relating to the recovery of any monies, goods or services that may be outstanding from time to time pursuant to the terms of this agreement.
1.6 Discontinued lessons. Teachers also reserve the right to discontinue any student for reasons including but not limited to inappropriate behaviour, non-payment of fees and sporadic attendance.
1.7 Note: Tuition, Registration costs and books are reviewed annually and at least one term's notice will be given of any change in price.
2. LESSON REFUND:
2.1 Missed Lessons: No refund will be given where a lesson is missed or for early withdrawal from lessons during the term. Due to timetabling complexities the teacher is not obligated to offer catch-up lessons. If a student does not have their instrument at school they are still expected to attend lessons.
2.2 Teacher absence: If the Teacher is unavailable to give any scheduled lesson (eg. due to sickness) that fee will be carried forward and credited to the next term
3. INSTRUMENTS and Support Resources:
3.1 Instrument: It is the student/parent/guardians responsibility to ensure the student has access to a key board or pitching devise.
3.2 Recordings: It is recommended that students record sessions with the understanding that they are for their own use and not published.
4.1 Website. Student/Parent/Guardian will have access to the online content of the website www.singoutsessions.com for the period of time they are taking lessons with.
5. STUDENT HEALTH AND SAFETY
5.1 Medical information. In the interests of the Student's well-being whilst in the Teacher's care, the Teacher must be informed of any medical or other condition affecting the Student.
5.2 Student care: The Teacher is not responsible for students outside of the agreed lesson time.
6. PRIVACY AND COPYRIGHT:
6.1 Advertising: SingOut Sessions will occasionally video / photograph classes and may use video footage or pictures for promotional or training purposes. You agree to your or your child’s image/s being used, unless written notification to the contrary is provided at enrolment. If any images are going to be used more widely you will be contacted and an agreement arranged.
6.2 Personal details. SingOut Sessions will not share your details with any third party without your written consent except in the case of 1.5 above.
6.3 Extra Activities: The Teacher will not expect the student to participate in any examination, festival, etc. without the agreement of the Student/Parent/Guardian. Any entry fees will be paid by the Student/Parent/Guardian.
6.4 Copyright. The Student/Parent/Guardian undertakes not to make photocopies of any music or publish any recordings of the sessions without permission from the teacher or SingOut Sessions.
